The Čierny Váh pumped storage power plant is the country´s largest pumped storage power plant and with its installed capacity also the largest hydroelectric power plant. The upper reservoir located 1160 meters above sea level has none inflow of its own. The utility provides in particular support services to the power system, including for the biggest installed unit within it.
